Financing and credit
Credit law regulates relations between consumers and professionals. A consumer is a person who contracts an obligation outside his or her professional activity. Credit and consumer law rebalances the relationship between the consumer and the professional, who is in a position to impose his will on the customer.
As the credit organisation is not necessarily a bank, this area differs from banking law in that it does not necessarily concern banking establishments, and in that it deals exclusively with the relationship between credit establishments and consumers.
